The Myung Won Cultural Foundation, as
the head family of the Korean tea ceremony, is a Korean government
recognized educational institution for Korean tea culture and
ceremonies.

The Myung Won Cultural Foundation strives to
preserve, restores and promotes Korean traditional tea culture and
ceremonies.
The name 'Myung Won' represents the late Myung Won, Kim, Mi Hee, who
dedicated her life to restore and revive the traditional Korea tea
ceremony as Korean tea cermonies represent the national heritage and
culture.
The foundation's mission is to carry on the wishes of the late Myung
Won to preserve, develop and promote Korean traditional tea
ceremonies for the generations to come and around the world. |
The culture of tea ceremonies encompass Korean value, traditional
ware, tea food, and propriety.

The Chairwoman of Myung Won Cultural
Foundation is the second daughter of the late Myung Won and the
Chairwoman is the proprietor of Intangible Cultural Asset of Seoul
City, Number 27, Royal Court Tea Ceremony. The generations of the
family tradition and practices of Korean tea ceremony carry on.
he Myung Won Cultural Foundation preserves, educates and promotes
Korean tea ceremony and tea culture through Myung Won tea culture
research center, tea culture center, graduate school, SamcheongGak
tea culture center, Unhyungung traditional etiquette school and
Chiri mountain tea training center.
The foundation publishes books on Korean tea culture and tea
ceremonies. The foundation recognizes significant contributors to
tea culture with its annual Grand Tea Culture Awards. The foundation
sponsors and participates in Korean and international cultural
exchange events across Japan, China, US and Europe. |

The Myung Won Cultural Foundation is recognized as the head family
of Korean tradition tea ceremony and is recorded in the temple of
Cho-Ju Grand Master Buddhist priest of China, where today's tea and
